The Mi Band 5 is produced by Huami, the second largest tech wearables manufaturer in the world! Once it came out, the masses were shocked! a 1.1" AMOLED display, auto activity recognition, 11 sport modes and all that for £40 or $40... While Fit 2 is brought to us by Smasung - one of the most advanced tech giants in the world. I have to say that I absolutely love that Samsung managed to squueze the word "Galaxy" into the Fit 2 name. It just sounds so much more premium... but you can walk away with it for only £50 or $50...

The mi band remains an elongated oval shaped pellet that sits within the silicone band. Galaxy Fit 2 is also quite bland, the dimensions are almost identical to that of mi band, except for the fact the FIT 2 has a more rectangular design. And the face of the tracker also pops out of the silicone strap just like the Mi Band 5.

Let's touch upon straps.. both feature soft silicone band, unfortunately they arent the generic type, so different ccolors and materials can only be bought from official retailers. The clasp is a clip on on the Mi Band 5 and clip and tuck on Fit 2... neither are super easy to put on during exercise.. but at least they feel comfortable when you finally do get them onto your wrist!

Disregard the pellet designs and note the actual displays... both are rectangular and 1.1" when measured diagonally. For trackers this size.. the 1.1" is a good effort. the AMOLED display resolution is identical at 126 by 294px.

Both screens are touch activated. Both displays are very bright and offer deep blacks, bright colours and offer easy visibility in practically all light conditions Inside or out!

The Fit 2 has just over 70 watch face styles you can download from the app, while the the Mi Band 5 has much more. And if the Fit 2 faces are quite greedy in terms of data you can put on the screen.. the Mi Band 5 takes this round with ease! Not only are the faces customizable you can choose which data you want to showcase!
No auto brightness available on either of the bands but the Fit 2 does have 10 brightness levels as opposed to the 5 on Mi Band 5.
The main difference of operating the trackers lie in the direction of swpes. if the Fit2 takes around it's functionality from left to right, the Mi Band 5 takes you for spin with vertical swipes

Battery life is similar on both devices with typical usage claimed by the manufacturers in excess of 2 weeks. Don't believe these values, you'll be lucky to squeeze out 8-10 days from each.
